Job Description
Create technical design documentation and UML diagrams
Analyze and translate functional specifications / use cases into functional applications
Develop codes that conforms to the coding standards set by the organization
Estimate the effort and time required for the assign task
Ensure code quality by performing unit and functional testing
Identify bottlenecks and issues to devise solution and optimization to address the problem
Develop code for new applications as well as enhancing or adding new features to the existing applications/systems.
Provide maintenance and production support to the existing applications
Perform code review to check quality and functionality of the code developed by team members
Analyze functional specification and delegate the task to the team members
Monitor project progress against with project timelines to ensure on time completion of project deliverables
Educational Profile
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, ECE, Accountancy, Math or College Degree
Completed a course in Visual Basic 6 and VB.Net windows and web based application
Competency Profile
Work Experience:
Must have at least 5 years IT industry experience demonstrating ability to analyze requirement, program/code in both VB6 and VB.NET. For VB.Net should be browser based application.
Ground up development experience in full Systems Development Life Cycle of enterprise-wide web based application systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
Five years of hands-on classic VB6 and .NET design and development experience utilizing VB.NET, ASP.Net, Classic ASP, Web Services, XML, JavaScript, HTML, IIS, CSS.
Must have a good understanding of relational databases such as but not limited to Oracle, MSSQL, MYSQL, MS-Access
.Net Framework and Visual Studio.Net development tools experience.
Design and develop installation
Optimize and customize existing products as required.
Perform object oriented programming and database creation.
Understanding of software development life cycle.
Excellent communication and team skills with the proven ability to multi-task.
Ability to perform detailed troubleshooting, testing and debugging.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability and desire to mentor others.
Willing and able to work extra hours as required by workload and deadlines.
Ability to be flexible and change priorities as needed.
